We took over the Big Lock on the 27th June 2011. After a hectic move in and a much needed clean up, we re-opened the Big Lock on the 30th June, since then our new menu has proved a roaring success!

We aim to maintain the integrity of the Big Lock, we want to retain the rich history found here, but at the same time offer fantastic, modern dishes at affordable prices.

Our cuisine focuses on the classic "English Pub Food"experience, while adding a twist! So come and visit soon, and become a new regular.

I had my 65th birthday in the Big Lock, what great food and service. It didnt hurt my wallet either.

We visited the newly opened Big Lock and was surprised at just how well it had been transformed. This sunday was filled to the brim with people all eager to sample some of the well talked about food. We had been reccomended to eat here by some friends and we were not disappointed! We tried the fantastic value for money Sizzler menu and was delighted with the taste and portion size! The staff were very friendly and the guest beers were very nice too. All in all i would recommend anyone to go here!

The pub has reopened today, with new decor, new menu and new landlord. Hurray!

We call in for a meal each time we sail past the Big Lock and have always been impressed with the friendly service and lovely fresh food , great beer and excellent value for money. A pleasure we look forward to all the time
